Pakenham man killed in collision

A PAKENHAM man died following a motorbike collision near Heathcote.
The accident happened about 8.40pm on Friday, July 11, when two men were riding mini trail bikes on private property off Phillips Lane in Costerfield.
A police spokeswoman said the two bikes collided head-on on an unsealed driveway, and one man died at the scene and the other was taken to Bendigo Hospital suffering minor injuries.
The man who was killed was 27, while the injured man was 28.
Both were from Pakenham and were staying at the property with friends.
The death is not counted on the road toll.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
